I always dreamed of owning my own business, but for years, fear kept me from taking the leap. I followed my passion for beauty and wellness, becoming licensed in cosmetology, nails, and massage, while also exploring facials, makeup, and body sculpting. Then I discovered the world of head spa.
In September 2025, I became very sick and was hospitalized. Coming so close to losing my life changed my perspective. I realized life was too precious to keep putting my dreams on hold.
While recovering at home, I started building the business I had always imagined. One step at a time.
That dream became Down To The Root Head Spa.
Today, it’s more than a business. It’s a peaceful space created to help people slow down, reconnect, and leave feeling renewed.

Maribel created Down to the Root with one belief: wellness begins at the root. As a licensed cosmetologist and massage therapist, she brings her passion for scalp wellness, massage, and self-care together to create personalized rituals designed to restore both scalp and spirit.
